NFPA 72-2016 NITMAM Position Certified Amending Motions (CAM)
June 8, 2015
To: IL-AFAA Membership and Friends of Fire Life Safety
The IL-AFAA Board of Directors and Code Committee has have reviewed, studied all sides of the positions CAM’s relating to NFPA 72 and talked with various members of IL-AFAA that have experience and expertise in the topic areas addressed by the 9 topics that will be discussed and voted on during the NFPA Technical Meeting in Chicago on June 24th and 25th, 2015.
Our discussions have shown that our broad membership has varied opinions on many of the important topics to be discussed at the NFPA Conference. The IL-AFAA Board feels it is in the best interest of the fire life safety industry and our membership to be neutral on these topics, and allow our membership to attend the meeting and vote based on the discussion they hear on the floor of NFPA.
The IL-AFAA Board strongly suggests that our members and friends of fire life safety attend the NFPA Technical Meeting, review the details of the motions CAM’s and vote in the best interest of Fire Life Safety.
Attached are all the Certified Amending Motions (CAM’s) and also attached is the schedule. Please review the attached information and . Please contact IL-AFAA if you have any questions on the CAM’s,.
